Zhu Dandan 朱丹丹
a retired art director
and a children’s book illustrator

Educated as a silk pattern designer from Soochow University, China, in the 70s. Dandan has spent most of her life drawing books for children and art-directing a state-owned women’s magazine.

She is currently writing a book based on her family migration history, and making art, sometimes with her daughter Wang Zi, sometimes alone.

She is now retired
moved to Canada in 2017
